book

I liked the random thoughts that came into his head thoughout the whole book because some were really interesting and some were just boring. I knew the boring parts would soon be over and the interesting parts- all the women in his life would just be a short paragraph away. When he made rock star references I would say 95% of them I didn't understand and at times I was able to just continue reading without any real problem and other times I felt completely lost and had no clue what point he was trying to make. That was more frustrating as I got further into the book. For the most part I did like the book but towards the very end I felt the rock references were becoming more common and more indept which was were he lost me. I'm not sure if I would recommend this book or not. I go back and forth with my answer. The rock references really through me off at times but the randomness of the other stories kept me interested in the book. I dont think all those women were truely interested in him but it made for some interesting reading at times.

Killing Yourself to Live

Ugh this book. I dont understand the music references which are becomig more common. I liked the begining alot and now that i'm not understanding the references I'm not so interested in the book. I liked the part when he talked about his family and went to have lunch with them. As I was reading the book I was always wondering about his family. The part when he talked about his mom getting worried when someone was late, reminded me alot of my mom. I also enjoyed the part when he was talking about Lenore, I think i'm more interested in his love life then the rock stars. lol I loved when he was talking about Lenore in such detail when she was ignoring his calls and then the email she sent him at the end was so sad. I felt bad for him! I thought it was great that he revealed so much about how she changed his life and how he felt about her even after reading the email, he didn't trash talk her.

When we first started reading this book, I definately would have encouraged you to continue using this book but after reading it, I have changed my mind. He doesn't explain the music references and I dont understand them. I found myself often skipping over the long section when he made references to bands, especially the led zepplin part.

As you know, I got accepted to Madonna last time I published a post and I am now applying for a scholarship. Hopefully I can get it, everyone wants and could use some free money! The only down dall is that I have to write an essay about why I deserve the money and I feel really weird writing about all my accomplishments and the hard work I put in to school. I dont know why I feel like this. I feel like im bragging and being stuck up... not cool. Hopefully that paper will be done by the end of this week!

Over spring break I had tons of homework, papers to write, and had to study for a history mid-term. Ugh so dumb! I suck at remembering dates and people and events so the mid term was not so easy for me, but hopefully when I get the grade I will be pleasantly surprised :) I would have much rather been in Chicago on a mini-vacation with my boyfriend. Maybe at the end of this semester we can travel or at least go to the cottage for a few days. I just need something relaxing and get away from the the routine of everyday life.


Kevin turned 21 last month and we celebrated our one year together too! I use to think one year wasn't that big of deal until it happened to me. lol I had a wonderful year and continue to have fun with my prince charming, Kevin.
